If you don't already own any of her videos I definitely recommend "Walk Off Fat Fast" (has a 20, 30, and 40 minute walk), "10 Minute Walk Blasters" (10, 10 minute walks you can mix & match your own workout!), and "Belly Blasting Walk" (fun two mile walk) for sure. I love Leslie videos! I own about 10 of them and use them almost daily I usually do them in addition to other workouts and to help hit my FitBit step goal (living up north with long winters and small kids at home makes it hard to get out for long walks half the year!) but I've also done them as my only form of fitness and they are great on their own and I love that you can customize to your fitness level like the above poster mentioned When I really get into them and use weights or bands and boost the walking to a light jog it can really get my heart rate up and burn a lot of calories. Has anyone tried these or something similar and had it work? It's really important for me to shed about 10# over the next 9 wks, as none of my park clothes are comfortable right now, and we have booked a Universal Orlando trip for early June. I can see working up to the 30-35 min programs (2 miles), as I can get this done before I get my teens out of bed in the mornings. These are good, as I can just walk in front of the computer screen and not worry about shoes, workout clothes, weather, light, etc. I see that there are a lot of WATP videos available on YouTube, and I have done several of the 1 mile walks. Dh's spin bike is very uncomfortable for me, and we don't have the room or money to add a treadmill right now. I am not outdoorsy, and I flat out will not be walking the neighborhood in rain, snow, or cold weather. We live in a small city and the Y has restricted hours. I know I need to ramp up my metabolism, but quite frankly, I cannot make it into the Y. All of this is probably playing a part in my weight gain, and subsequent issues getting the weight back off. We've had a stressful year, and I've gone back to work 3/4 time. I'm closer to 50 yo now, and I know that is part of it. For the last 6 wks, I have been using MFP to count calories, but I have been much less successful this time around. Several years ago, I lost 47# strictly with calorie counting on My Fitness Pal, but I have regained about 25# over the last 18 mos. In short, walking to the hits using HIIT training is a sure-fire way to fire-up your walk! For this program, Leslie took some of her favorite party songs and combined them with fresh new Walk At Home moves to create a 3 mile walk like none other.Hello I'm looking to lose about 20#, and having some issues.
Walk to the Hits features hit music and High Intensity Interval Training (aka HIIT) it's the perfect combination! Hit music pumps up your pace, and HIIT training alternates between bursts of all out effort and periods of recovery, allowing you to walk a shorter session and blast away as many calories as you would in a longer one.Ī study published in The Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness showed that women who completed a 12 week HIIT program lost more weight than a group who performed longer sessions of moderate intensity cardio. That's why Leslie created WALK TO THE HITS.
Great music makes your workout more fun and keeps you exercising because you LOOK FORWARD to it. The most effective workout is the one you actually DO! So motivation is the key, and music is one of the best motivators. Leslie Sansone Just Walk: Walk to the Hits Party Songs DVD - Sealed!
